The Medela milk collection cups offer a flexible design that molds to the breast, protecting against wet stains on clothes, even with a heavy milk flow. Made from soft silicone, they are gentle on sensitive skin and feature a practical spout for easy emptying. BPA-free and safe for everyday use, these cups are an excellent solution for managing breast milk leakage. Breast leakage, especially in the first six weeks, is completely normal and doesn't necessarily indicate an oversupply of milk. The milk collection cups are placed over the nipple to catch any leaking milk, ensuring that not a drop goes to waste. Designed with your comfort in mind, these cups are made from skin-friendly materials and are shaped to fit your body, making them discreet and comfortable to wear. You can use the milk collection cups while breastfeeding to collect milk from the other breast or between feedings to prevent wet spots on your clothing. However, it's important to remove them every two to three hours to allow your breasts to breathe and avoid moisture buildup, which could cause nipple discomfort. It’s also recommended to avoid wearing the cups while sleeping to protect delicate skin—consider using disposable nursing pads if you experience heavy leakage at night. How to Use Medela Milk Collection Cups: Before use, assemble the two parts of the milk collection cup. The soft, flexible silicone membrane is gentle on the skin and snaps securely onto the outer cup. Once assembled, place the cup inside your bra, ensuring the nipple is centered in the opening of the silicone membrane, with the spout facing upwards. It's advisable to wear a nursing bra when using these cups, as they offer more space than regular bras, reducing pressure on the chest for added comfort.
